Welcome to the Grief Anonymous Facebook Online Grief Support Groups

Facebook Groups

We are 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year support group. Please review the list of groups below and join the ones who best serve your needs. Our Grief Anonymous Family Group is our original group with 5,000 members strong and the membership is for all types of grief.

We have 20 grief-specific confidential online groups covering a vast array of needs where people have support at their fingertips 24 hours a day-7 days a week. We are constantly looking for ways to meet the needs of our

30,000+ growing membership.

Each group follows the Ten Tenets of Grief Anonymous as self-help for healing while sharing their experiences, trials in life, and support for others. Many of our members have told us these groups have been transformative in their lives and have helped them personally grow into a more peaceful, happy life. Some people have met new, wonderful friends and many of us feel like these groups are our second family. We welcome you and hope we can provide what you need so you know you are not alone.

whole-world-hands.jpg#asset:110The leadership within our groups is comprised of dedicated, caring, compassionate volunteers who they themselves have experienced profound grief and are wanting to GIVE BACK to others who have been through loss. They are not certified counselors/professionals in the field of grief work. In keeping with the spirit of different Anonymous programs worldwide, we believe those who know and have experienced profound grief and who have worked our program of the 10 Tenets of Grief Anonymous are the ones who are best suited to offer understanding and support so know you are not alone. Our membership is very active in responding and supporting as well.

To participate in our online groups, you must have an account with Facebook. It is very important that all members review, understand, and abide by our Cardinal Rules of Communication and Engagement that are listed at the top of every group page. Please note what you post within the groups can only be seen by the membership of the group even though your posts and comments can be seen in your news feed.

As a member, you must take precautions to keep you and your account safe as you alone are responsible for who you communicate with online in and outside of our support groups. Never send money or assistance to someone you have met online. Do not accept friend requests from those persons you do not know or who you are uncomfortable with. Be aware that people create fake accounts for the purposes of scamming unaware people. Any engagement with people/profiles on Facebook is personal decision and Grief Anonymous is not liable. If you have a concern, please alert an administrator and they will be happy
to assist you.
