A national support organization dedicated to those who are grieving the loss of a loved one.

About Grief Anonymous

Your Grief Support Network

My name is Holly Barker and I am the Founder and President of Grief Anonymous. Grief Anonymous is a grassroots organization rising out of a need to create connections and to organize enduring, ongoing group support programs at no charge to those who have been affected by grief. We see a need for a national level organized program utilizing the 10 Tenets of Grief Anonymous as actionable steps to direct and support people through self-healing and awareness towards their new normal. Our mission is to build a national membership that is welcoming of people from all social, economic, religious and non-religious backgrounds. We do not discriminate against anyone with regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious or spiritual belief system. You can email us at hollybarker@griefresourcenetwork.com.

How Grief Anonymous Works

Grief Anonymous meetings can be run by a local facilitator or an already established group within a church or organization in a local community. Examples of places where meetings can be held include local community rooms, churches, government buildings and other facilities. Access to support is available to everyone, free of charge, regardless of faith. During the meeting, the organizer will use The Ten Tenets of Grief Anonymous – a simple, non-sequential guide to healing intended to benefit those who are grieving.

Grief Anonymous Nationwide

Grief Anonymous is currently seeking partnerships to help bring local, regional, and national awareness to issues surrounding grief. Topics we are interested in include changing social norms and beliefs about the grief process, economic and financial difficulties for families, and health-related issues surrounding grief. We are also connecting with universities and medical centers who are supporting the bereaved with programs as well as researchers doing studies on the grieving population in the United States. Building support on a national level will bring a voice to our grieving population and allow you to have a resource to give to your customers, clients, and patients.
